‘KISPinoy’ debuts tonight

/ 01:45 AM July 11, 2015

RICHARD GUTIERREZ hasn’t been active as a TV-film player for over a year now, except for appearances on “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” so his fans can’t be blamed for feeling forlorn and getting antsy. Right in the nick of time, however, his new weekly show, “KISPinoy,” will start telecasting at 9 tonight on TV5.

The new program is an unusual production, because it’s a talent tilt that specifically rides on the K-Pop wave, as its full title, “K-Pop Icon Search, Pinoy Edition,” indicates. In other words, the weekly competition is looking for talented entertainers who have what it takes to become K-Pop senstations, both locally and internationally.

With Richard hosting, the show features Pinoy and Korean stars, including Kevin Woo, who will cojudge the tilt with Gelli de Belen and Rico Blanco.

“KISPinoy” hopefuls will be judged on point of singing, dancing, stage presence, fashion and style. The talent who wins the top plum will go on to be trained in Korea by experts who know from experience what K-Pop stardom calls for and entails!
