Actress and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos got to visit Milan, Italy—her third time in Europe. She first visited Europe for the filming of Gil Portes’ “Miss X” in Amsterdam in 1980. Last year, she traveled to London. The Milan trip combined business and pleasure, she related. “It was fruitful. We got to talk to leaders of overseas Filipino workers. It was a two-day affair.” Then it was time for a little R ’n’ R, with husband Senator Ralph Recto and son Ryan Christian. She got to do things she never gets to experience back home—roam the streets and ride the train in perfect anonymity. She also got to pose for a few souvenir snapshots with the pigeons at the Duomo. “We took that short break because it’s now back to work for us. I am shooting a movie (with Angel Locsin), while Ralph is preparing for the big campaign and Ryan is returning to school.” Eldest son Luis Manzano was not able to join this family tour, though. “He is very busy, but he promised to find time to unwind with Gel (girlfriend Angel’s nickname) soon.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
