LOS ANGELES, United States – US actor Shia LaBeouf injured his head and hand during the filming of his latest “American Honey” movie, his agent told AFP Wednesday.
The 29-year-old star of the popular “Transformers” films was taken to hospital Tuesday night and received several stitches.
“LaBeouf sustained minimal injuries late last night on the set of his current film,” his agent said.
“Production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head.”
“American Honey,” about a teenage girl who gets caught up with a group of traveling misfits, is being filmed in North Dakota, and is directed by British filmmaker Andrea Arnold.
LaBeouf also starred in 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.”
He has made headlines for his sometimes outlandish behavior, including appearing on the red carpet wearing a paper bag over his head marked with the words “I am not famous anymore.”
