Vice Ganda condemns alleged ‘no crossdressers policy’ in BGC club
TV-movie celebrity Vice Ganda slammed the alleged “no crossdressers policy” in a nightclub at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City, calling it as “third-world.”
In a Twitter post, Vice Ganda threatened to pull out her share in the Valkyrie club.
“The ‘No Crossdressing Policy’ in any establishment is so THIRD WORLD. If Valkyrie implements this crap i will pull out my very small share,” Vice Ganda said.
Vice Ganda also issued this message to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community:
“To all members of the LGBT community: I AM ONE OF YOU AND I AM ONE WITH YOU.”
The TV-movie celebrity is referring to the incident where transgender fashion designer Veejay Floresca was allegedly barred from entering Valkyrie in the Palace club last Saturday because she was a crossdresser.

Meanwhile, the club has apologized to Floresca but has remained mum on the alleged “no crossdressers policy” in their establishment.
In the statement, Valkyrie maintained that they do not discriminate any transgender women or individuals.
“Club management would like to apologize to these individuals if the denial of entry resulted in their embarrassment or made them feel disrespected in any way… The management of Valkyrie Nightclub and The Palace Pool Club wishes to clarify that it does not discriminate against transwomen and transgender individuals,” the statement read.
However, the club management said that since it is a private establishment, they reserve “the right to determine who will be permitted to their premises,”
“The determination of who will be allowed entry into the premises is based primarily on the Club’s safety policies and guidelines,” it added. AJH
