Pinoy Big Brother has a new “homeboy.”

Actor Enchong Dee on Sunday entered the country’s most popular house as the 12th housemate in ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Bog Brother 737.” At the same time, he will serve as host of the popular reality show.

His tag as “homeboy,” as he also stays inside the house with his 11 housemates, will give him special tasks assigned by Big Brother.

Dee’s designation as a host was announced Sunday by hosts Robi Domingo and Kim Chiu in the variety show “ASAP”after Dee’s dance number.

Dee will report the reality show’s latest happenings from inside.

“Sa lahat ng fans ng PBB, ako po si Enchong Dee at ako po ang pinakabago niyong host. Pagsisikapan ko po na sana magustuhan niyo ang gagawin ko sa PBB and hindi ko po kayo bibiguin,” Dee said.

The 11 housemates who entered the house over the weekend were Kyle (Mister Nice Guy ng San Juan), Zonia (Blossoming Beauty ng Quezon City), Franco (Totoy Smiley ng Albay) and Ylona (Daldal Darling ng Australia), Ryan (Kid Sunshine of Cebu), Kenzo (Astig Athelete ng QC), Jimboy (The Barrio Rapper), Bailey (Global Gwapito of Cebu), Kamille (Teen Mama of Manila), Barbie (Doll along the Riles ng Albay) and Ailah (Faithful Daughter ng Bacolod).

On its 10th edition on TV, PBB this time is using the “737” tagline, with the first number pertaining to the number of weeks the housemates will live inside the house.
The meaning behind the other two numbers will be revealed in the coming days, host Toni Gonzaga said.
Created by Dutch-based Italian television production firm Endemol, the Big Brother show isolates chosen housemates in a specially designed house fitted with cameras and microphones.

The housemates, who compete with one another, will face periodic evictions and a variety of daily and weekly tasks until one grand winner emerges.
The Philippine franchise of the reality show first hit ABS-CBN’s primetime slot on Aug. 21, 2005. It already produced 11 seasons in three different editions since its airing. Arvin Mendoza
