She may be physically small for a 10-year-old, but being small does not include her dreams and her passion for what she does.

The title of young diva Lyca Gairanod’s new album basically summarizes her principle in life—“Pwede Nang Mangarap.

In an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM on Saturday, Gairanod recalled how she and her family had to scavenge trash for a living before winning in a popular singing competition.

Gairanod said she started singing at the age of 6, even joining barangay singing contests for adults. But despite her experience, the songstress says she still feels nervous when she performs.

Gairanod also shared a lesson she learned from her idol and coach, singer Sarah Geronimo: “Bago daw po tumuntong ng stage lagi daw pong mag-pray. YG
