‘Isda’ swims to HK Asian fest

After Toronto and Busan, Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Isda (Fable of the Fish)” will be screened at the 8th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, set from Oct. 18 to Nov. 8. In Time Out, fest curator GaryMak picked “Isda” among his 10 favorites, describing it as “odd and surreal… simple but reflective fable about acceptance of being different.” Mak also commended the performances of lead actress Cherry Pie Picache and the entire ensemble.
