Screen legend Mila del Sol, star of classic movies like “Giliw Ko” (1939) and “Ibong Adarna” (1941), marked her 92nd birth anniversary on May 12 with a special honor, given by the House of Representatives.
Speaker Feliciano Belmonte gave the pioneering actress and businesswoman a copy of House Resolution No. 165, which recognizes “her contributions to the movie industry that enriched Philippine culture and society.”
The resolution was authored by Muntinlupa Rep. Rodolfo Biazon.
She was accompanied by her family, led by eldest grandson and Parañaque 2nd District Rep. Gus S. Tambunting, at the Batasan complex.
After the ceremony, she attended Mass and celebrated with her friends in her home. Bayani San Diego Jr.
