What a blast we all had at the fab first anniversary bash of the hippest party place in the Queen City of the South, LIV Super Club Cebu.

Our gracious host, Kenneth Dong, made sure we were well-fed and kept the booze overflowing all night.

Spotted at the fete were Edu Manzano, Rufa Mae Quinto, Luke Mejares, Top Suzara, Kat de Castro, Polo Ravales, Alvin Anson, Lloyd Zaragoza, Valkyrie’s Stephen Ku, model Katarina Rodriguez, TV 5’s IC Mendoza, Nichole Estrada, Malak So and Cebu’s crème de la crème.

FEATURED STORIES

Deejays Mars Miranda, Martin Pulgar, Jennifer Lee, Nina Saputil and X-Factor made the party people go wild till the wee hours of the morning.

Luke, Top, Lloyd and Cebu’s local performers regaled the crowd with their performances. VIP membership cards were given away and Rico’s

lechon was served fiesta style.

Edu told me that, according to his Cebuano friends, the night life in Cebu was already dying but LIV brought the excitement back to the scene.

Kenneth, the joint’s cool owner, told me that he will produce a movie which will recount the love stories of LIV habitués. They will start filming in August. Kenneth is eyeing Derek Ramsay, Maja Salvador and Bea Alonzo to star in the film. It will be shot entirely in Cebu so the movie will boost tourism in the Queen City, too.

The Super Club finds reason to “revel with a cause” week after week. It has thrown endless theme parties: Iron Man v Transformers, Back-to-School Night, Girls’ Night Out, Fast and Furious 2 LIV, Brazilian Hot Summer Nights, Throwback Thursday, a cocktail party for Miss Philippines Earth 2015 candidates, to name a few.

French connection

French choreographer Yanis Marshall is dancing his way to Manila. His Paris High-Heel Dance video took YouTube by storm. It now has more than nine million views (and still counting) all over the world.

Moovz, the global social network for the LGBT community, in cooperation with the Philippines’ top celebrity dance group G-Force, has invited Marshall to Manila for a show and dance workshops.

Marshall is considered a dance luminary, like Teacher Georcelle, artistic director of G-Force Dance Company who has revolutionized dancing on TV and elevated the title “dancer” to a whole new level.

They will have a VIP show dubbed “Make Me Sweat… Again” for media partners and celebrities on June 23, 8:30 p.m. at the Music Museum. It will be followed by dance workshops at the SMX Convention Center (Meeting Room 4 and 6), SM Aura on June 23 (5-6:30 p.m.), June 24 (6-7:30 p.m. and 8-9:30 p.m.) and June 25 (6-7:30 p.m., 8-9:30 p.m. and 10-11:30 p.m.).
