For the love of Kokoy

“Wow Kokoy,” a benefit concert for the late TV-stage-movie director Kokoy Jimenez, will be held on June 16, 8 p.m. at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan.

Headlining the show are his friends from the biz, led by singer-actress Mitch Valdes and musical director Mel Villena with The AMP Big Band. The concert promises to be a celebration of Jimenez’s life and career.

Renz in ‘Rak’

Singer Renz Verano, the voice behind the hits “Remember Me” and “Lorena,” joins the cast of the hit musical “Rak of Aegis,” now on its fourth run at the Peta (Philippine Educational Theater Association) Theater Center.

Verano will take over the role of Kiel, previously played by Robert Seña.

“Rak of Aegis” will run from June 17 to August 16, from Tuesday to Friday

(8 p.m.), and Saturday to Sunday (3 p.m. and 8 p.m.) at the Peta Theater Center, No. 5 Eymard Drive, New Manila, Quezon City.
