Dennis on reconciling with Jennylyn: My heart is resting now
“It feels good to be in love, but it’s also good to take a break for a while,” said Dennis Trillo, who refused to confirm the rumor that he has reconciled with former flame, actress Jennylyn Mercado.
At the press conference of Chris Martinez’s romance flick, “You’re Still the One,” the 34-year-old actor said: “My heart is resting now. I’m at a state in my life where I refuse to feel pressured. I’m just going with the flow. I just do things that make me happy.”
Dennis earlier admitted to spending four days with Jennylyn on Balesin Island in Quezon during the Holy Week break.
“There’s nothing going on between us, in spite of what people say about us. I don’t want to put a label on it. I’m just happy that everything is OK between us, especially after the not-so-good incident a few years back,” Dennis told the Inquirer.
He was referring to their highly publicized breakup. In a tell-all interview, Jennylyn even accused Dennis of physical abuse.
Peaceful, stress-free

Both actors celebrated their birth anniversaries last month. Jennylyn’s was on May 15, Dennis on May 12.
Dennis said he had work on Jennylyn’s special day so he simply greeted her through a phone call. “I admit that I once said I’d never reconcile with any of my ex-girlfriends, but I now realize that everything is possible with love. You can’t tell what will happen next. Right now, I’m just happy. Everything is peaceful; no stress.”
He added: “I feel blessed, especially with work. I just finished ‘You’re Still the One,’ and I still have two more movies to work on within the year. After that, I will be working on several TV projects.”
“You’re Still the One,” which is currently in theaters, is a coproduction of Regal Films and Star Cinema. It also features Richard Yap and Ellen Adarna.
Dennis said he admired costar Maja Salvador, who recently admitted to breaking up with actor Gerald Anderson, for being “a true professional.” He explained: “Maja is going through something really difficult, but she never allowed this to affect her work. On the set, she is very positive. She is kind, funny and very pleasant. I have nothing negative to say about her.”
Asked whether he felt physically attracted to his leading lady, whom he had three love scenes with in the movie, Dennis said: “She may be
single, but I know she is still hurting. I didn’t want to take advantage of her situation. We were both on the set to work.”
