Vice Ganda tells it like it is

GANDA. Breath of fresh air.

GANDA. Breath of fresh air.

Makki Cordero, televiewer: “As a guest judge on a recent episode of ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar,’ Vice Ganda was a breath of fresh air. He tells it like it is, and his comments are spot-on, spiced with his usual wisecracks—a far cry from the usually insipid and repetitive remarks of the talent tilt’s regular judges.”

Anna Ferrer: “What a great ride Brillante Mendoza’s ‘Taklub’ has had so far—from its last-minute inclusion in the Cannes fest and lead actress Nora Aunor’s decision not to go to France, to the rave reviews the film received—and to the unresolved rift between Mendoza and Aunor. Here’s hoping that they will bury the hatchet soon—and that their movie will be appreciated here as much as it was abroad.”

Irene Paz, housewife: “While watching ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo,’ I couldn’t help but admire how Ian Veneracion has maintained his youthful looks— he still looks fit and good-looking!”

Rafael Calma, student: “Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsay should do a followup to ‘English Only, Please’—a welcome breather from the predictable roles they portray on television and in films.”

Liza Oliva, accountant: “What a comeback it has been for JM de Guzman! After a long hiatus, he bounced back with the box-office hit, ‘That Thing Called Tadhana,’ followed by a best actor nomination from the Urian. I hope JM will always keep Mareng Winnie’s reminder in mind: ‘Bawal ang pasaway!’”
