Siegfried Mison was the guest speaker of the Bulong Pulungan at Sofitel recently. After his eventful stints with the Philippine Army and the legal profession, he returned to public service in 2011 as an associate commissioner at the Bureau of Immigration.
As a government scholar, he represented the country at the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987. He took up law at the Ateneo Law School, then earned his Master’s degree at the University of Southern California. He practises law here and abroad, and provides free legal counseling to indigent clients.
Siegfried’s father, Salvador Mison, served former President Corazon Aquino as commissioner of the Bureau of Customs, and retired from the AFP after 32 years of service. He is a member of the board of trustees of Kabayanihan Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to promote a culture of greatness in Filipinos.
