Mom Susan on Grace Poe’s 2016 plans: My concern is her happiness, safety

Actress Susan Roces has spoken on the possible presidential bid of her daughter Sen. Grace Poe in 2016.

“Whatever the future holds for her, my main concern as a mother is her happiness and her safety, and her health,” Roces said on Tuesday during the press conference for the television remake of her late husband Fernando Poe Jr.’s film “Ang Probinsyano.”

Roces said she was constantly praying for her daughter as she admitted that she was not in a position to comment on her political plans.

“As her mom, I constantly pray for guidance for her,” the actress said.

Roces said it was overwhelming that Poe was being considered to lead the country, adding that being a president was a “tough job.”
