Filipino acts in ‘Asia’s Got Talent’ grand finals

Shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra, singers Gerphil Flores and Gwyneth Dorado, and dance group Junior New System will compete in the grand finals of the talent tilt “Asia’s Got Talent,” airing on cable channel AXN. The Pinoy acts—all of whom except Dorado advanced through the round-accelerating “Golden Buzzer” as determined by judges David Foster, Melanie C, Anggun, and Van Ness Wu at different points of the competition—have been consistently praised for exceptional performances. Other contenders are from Japan, China and Mongolia. The grand finals will be on May 7; the results show on May 14.
