Filipinos among first to see ‘Avengers: Ultron’

As the President of Disney Media Networks would say, “something big is coming your way.”

Following the huge success of its first film in 2012, one of the most awaited movie-sequel of the year, “The Avengers: The Age of Ultron” will make its way to Philippine cinemas this Wednesday, April 22.

According to Ben Pyne, President of Disney Media Networks Global Distribution, the Philippines is one of the first countries in the world to see the Avenger’s sequel.

“It makes sense that the biggest movie of the year will have an event at the biggest mall and biggest lifestyle company in the Philippines,” Pyne said during the opening of the Avengers-themed exhibit at

The Block Atrium in SM City North Edsa on Monday.

The exhibit, which is open to the public, gives kids and kids at heart the chance to witness life-size character displays of the movie’s favorite heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Ultron, Hulk and Hulk Buster.

Interactive displays, games and merchandise were also made available free for the public. The exhibit will run until May 16.

Children from the ChildHaus Foundation, a home for children suffering from cancer, were treated with the Avengers experience through interactive games.

“Disney and SM share the vision of providing entertainment in creating memories that would enrich the lives of people. After you watch the movie, I wish you to complete the experience at ‘The Avengers Experience,’” Edgar Tejerero, President of SM Lifestyle Entertainment said during the event.

The action-packed thrill movie “The Avengers: The Age of Ultron” is now available in SM Cinemas and Imax starting this April 22.
