Award for Cecille Baun

One of the country’s pioneers in the field of prosthetics, award-winning make-up expert Cecille Baun, was given the Quezon City Cinema Lifetime Achievement Award.

Baun received the award as Philippine cinema’s “Queen of Prosthetics,” during the first Quezon City International Film Festival last year.

Tour bus fire

GARLAND, Texas—A tour bus for superstar country group Lady Antebellum has caught fire along an interstate near Dallas, but no one was injured.

Singer Hillary Scott posted on the group’s Facebook page that she, her husband, their tour manager and the driver were on the Dallas-bound bus when a tire caught fire Thursday morning.
