Manila concert of Grammy winner Pentatonix moved to June 6
The Manila concert of Grammy-winning American a cappella group Pentatonix, originally set June 5 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, has been moved to June 6 at the same venue, “due to unavoidable scheduling changes,” organizers told Inquirer.
All tickets dated June 5 will be honored on June 6, organizers added.
Pentatonix (or PTX) formed in 2011 in Arlington, Texas, with five members—Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstie Maldonado, Avi Kaplan and Kevin Olusola. That same year the group won the grand prize in season 3 of the NBC talent show “Sing Off.”
Its third album, “PTX Vol. II,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart and landed at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 in 2013.
Together with music producer Ben Bram, it won Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella for the song “Daft Punk” at the 57th Grammy Awards.
