Spotify is the No. 1 music app in the country, according to market research data and online polls gathered recently.
Data from global app analytics service App Annie (www.appannie.com) revealed that Spotify reached the top music app for Android devices spot only a year after it was launched in the Philippines (April 2014). For iOS devices, Spotify placed second overall in the App Store.
News blog site Astig.ph and tech blog Yugatech ran similar polls that resulted in Spotify being declared the preferred music streaming service.
Globe Telecom brought Spotify to the Philippines as part of its GoSurf data plans, providing customers access to the Internet and over 30 million songs, including the latest OPM hits.

So now, singing along to one’s favorite tunes is just a click away. Users just need to cue up any song and hit the new “lyrics” button, located next to the play bar, and start singing. They can also search and browse popular lyrics from Spotify’s top songs using the “explore” feature.
