Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera formally announced on Monday that they are expecting their first baby.
“Nag-bunga ang aming pagmamahalan at nabiyayaan kami ng Panginoon ng isa sa mga pinakamagandang regalo na pwedeng ibigay and that’s the gift of life,” Dingdong told Jessica Soho in GMA’s news broadcast “24Oras”.
Dingdong said that their unborn child is an answered prayer.
Marian said every time she talks to Dingdong about the baby, she gets emotional.
Marian opened up about her morning sickness experience and how she gets dizzy even during short travels.
“Sabi ko ok lang kaya kong tiisin lahat ng sakripisyong ‘yon kung ang kapalit naman ay napakagandang biyaya sa Panginoon,” she said.
The couple were also asked whether they want a boy, a girl or a twin.
“Isa lang po,” both answered in unison.
“With regards to the gender po eh kung baga one step at a time. Sobrang nagpapasalamat lang kami na may biyaya kami na isang buhay so siguro ok na kung kahit anong ibigay samin,” Dingdong said.
Marian also revealed her food cravings at the onset of her pregnancy.
Di ko alam kung bakit,” she said.
Before the announcement, the couple neither confirmed nor denied the pregnancy rumors that erupted on social media few days ago.
On Saturday, “Marian Rivera” even became a trending topic on Twitter, with the couple’s fans raving about the coming of their new baby.
Marian is currently busy with her new TV series “The Richman’s Daughter,” while Dingdong has his “Pari ‘Koy.”
Dingdong and Marian tied the knot last December 30 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao, Quezon City.
