Coco Chanel once said that when a woman is ready to make a major change in her life, she gets a new hairdo. Choosing the right salon is a must, especially for celebs who always have to reinvent themselves.

As the first celebrity endorser of Status Hair Salon Manila, Karylle will always have a “hair-rific” look. Gorgeous sisters Robina and Roseann Ko established this full-service salon in 2011. Their salons are located in Robinsons Galleria; Connecticut, Greenhills; Eastwood, and Katipunan (www.statushairsalonmanila.com).

The salon is the exclusive partner of the latest season of “Project Runway Philippines.”

Here’s my tête-à-tête with Karylle:

How do you handle bad hair days?

I get hair treatments at Status Salon every once in a while because my hair is bugbog (battered) with daily hairstyling for “It’s Showtime.” My hair is kept at its healthiest with these treatments, like Argan Oil therapy.

What’s the best and toughest parts of being married?

Cleaning! It’s just the two of us so there’s a lot of chores to do each day. That was the biggest challenge for me.

What’s the craziest thing that you and Yael have done together?

Yael loves Disneyland, so naturally we went there for our honeymoon—

Disneyland Paris. For our first anniversary, we went to Hong Kong Disneyland. That HK trip was a really short one. We went hiking with a friend who is based there, Rosemary Vandenbrouke from “The Kitchen Musical.” She took us to Tai Long Wan.

Anything new that you learned about Yael?

He’s not fussy, and he’s very patient. So, when I make little mistakes or when I’m late, he’s chill. When he’s stressed with work, I’m able to calm him down. We have a nice balance.

I also learned that he enjoys challenging me to write more and express myself. He writes new songs every day. He may not finish all of them, but he always comes up with something new.

In what ways are you like, or different from, your mom (Zsa Zsa Padilla) ?

Mama is so generous and giving. I am quite stingy. I guess we express our love differently, but we are both very thoughtful.

What’s your song for yourself and what’s your song for Yael?

I have yet to write a song for myself. But “Good to Me” from “Roadtrip” comes close to who I was a couple of years ago. A girl learning to love herself. But so many things have changed since then.

For Yael, it’s my new song, which will come out this summer. “Can’t Shut Up.” I wrote it for Yael on our anniversary as boyfriend-girlfriend. If you’ve ever spoken to him you will understand why!

What do you think of your mom’s beau, Conrad Onglao?

Tito Con is a great guy. He’s a family man; he cooks so well. His specialty is crabs. He’s so sweet because when he found out that my fave kid in Child Haus (shelter for young cancer patients), Blessie, wasn’t eating, he sent her his specialty. That made her very happy.

If they tie the knot, what would you tell him before the wedding day?

I always hang out with them, usually casually and unannounced, to get to know them as a couple. Those are my third-wheel moments!

I like that my mom is very happy; she’s blooming. People can’t stop telling me how beautiful she is. I have to agree. They are so chill together. They go jogging or to the market.

Sometimes, I have dinner with them or just hang out for a long time! I like to take stolen shots of them being malambing…if anyone wants to buy them, just call me. I’m kidding.
