‘Price is Right’ contestant wins car after female model’s gaffe
True enough, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
Game show model Manuela Arbeláez of “The Price is Right” has gotten her 15 minutes of fame as her name has gone for the past 24 hours.
In a recent episode of “The Price is Right,” she mistakenly opened the “Win” price tag, even if the contestant hasn’t chosen it.
The contestant, a woman only identified as Andrea, automatically won the top prize for the day, a brand-new sedan worth $21,960 .
As the nearly teary eyed Arbelaez got the shock of her life and tried to hide behind the rolling game board, host Drew Carey was laughing off the whole faux pas as he tried to comfort Arbelaez before telling the contestant, “Congratulations, Manuela just got you a car!”

“For those of you asking: the producers and @DrewFromTV couldn’t have been more supportive and understanding. I’m not in trouble :) phew!”
She also made it more fun by twitting: “Hey @Oprah now I know what it feels like to be you! Whenever you feel like giving cars away on the show let me know.”
And another: “I don’t usually give expensive gifts, but when I do (it) is a $21,960 CAR,” with the hashtags “YouWelcomeAndrea” and “WokeUpFeelingGenerous”. With a report from Totel de Jesus
