Is ABS-CBN’s “Bandila” a talk show or a newscast? Roman Villar, telemarketer, is asking. He shares: “Every time I watch, the anchors seem like they’re running a social network talk show. Their partiality and impropriety have gone beyond bounds.
“In the past, we wouldn’t see any reactions from anchors. Now, hand gestures are employed when they read the news. Sometimes, they even ridicule personalities by presenting Internet videos and photos. Afterwards, an anchor says, ‘Huwag mapipikon, katuwaan lang naman ‘to.’ Unfortunately, ’di ako natuwa.”
Other notes:
Daisy Milan, TV watcher: “Seeing Coney Reyes on ABS-CBN’s ‘100 Days to Heaven’ is refreshing, and child star Xyriel Manabat is a little bundle of joy! Meanwhile, Gloria Romero’s glorious presence on GMA 7’s ‘Munting Heredera’ helps keep the show together. However, the teleserye has been dragging lately, because of its extended run.”
Obligation
Connie Jamon, housewife: “Petty and mean are how I label critics of Arnel Pineda. They should study contracts and business law, so they’ll be enlightened about what prevented the singer from doing gigs outside of his obligation with Journey.”
