Jack of all trades
Alejandro Rivera, 24, is a jack of all trades. He has a degree in photography from St. Benilde. He’s always wanted to be a pilot and now, as a licensed commercial pilot, he flies a cargo plane. When Alejandro was 4, his hotelier father, Miguel, would take him to airports to go plane-watching.
This versatile young man is also musically inclined. He learned to play the violin at age 9, and continues to take advanced lessons with Denise Huang. Now, he performs with the children of Tuloy sa Don Bosco in Alabang. He also plays the piano, viola, cello and the erhu, a two-string Chinese traditional violin.
Recently, he collaborated with Paolo Valenciano on the latter’s CD release, “Silence Noise.”
He also sings, plays soccer and has portrayed significant roles in stage productions directed by Michael Williams. As a photographer, he assists Toto Labrador.
Last March 13-16, Alejandro and Miguel joined my Batanes Photo Safari.
