Aliwan bazaar invites celebrity traders

Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) looks in the direction of business-minded celebrities as it organizes its three-day Aliwan Fiesta Shoppers Bazaar, to be held on April 23 to 25 on Sotto Street at the CCP Complex in Pasay City.

Traders are invited to showcase the best products from their home regions. Boutiques specializing in island-theme ready-to-wear, footwear, jewelry and accessories, as well as handicraft shops and stores or restaurants selling delicacies, even fruit and flower farms—such as those that celebs usually open in holiday bazaars—are most welcome, according to the organizing committee.

Weaving cooperatives, tribal showrooms, free-trade organizations and nongovernment organizations advocating local produce as part of the Department of Trade and Industry’s “One Town, One Product” campaign are expected to participate.

The bazaar is presented by MBC, Star City, Cultural Center of the Philippines and the cities of Manila and Pasay.
