I asked some Kapuso artists what their perfect summer getaway would be. Wherever summer takes you, may you find your little piece of heaven on earth.

FEATURED STORIES

Alden Richards: I’d like to go nature-tripping—rock climbing, mountain climbing, wakeboarding.

Camille Prats: We are developing a sanctuary resort in Batangas. Our weekends will mostly be spent there. We’re opening it to the public very soon. We hope it becomes a summer hotspot.

Rafael Rosell: A surfboard. A beach with head-high waves. Eating veggies. No people. No pollution. Just nature and her joys.

Suzi Entrata-Abrera: Most Filipinos are beach lovers. We try to have one major trip with our kids every year. My kids have developed a love for it, too. When April comes, they start complaining, “We haven’t seen the ocean.” So we really have to go to either Cebu or Laiya in Batangas.

Iya Villania-Arellano: Any place can be made perfect, depending on the people I’m with—friends, family, and (husband) Drew (Arellano).

Solenn Heussaff: Anywhere that’s not crowded. If it’s a beach holiday, it must be in a secluded area. Or a farm where I can have peace and quiet.

Rocco Nacino: I want to explore all the islands of the Philippines with my loved ones.

Max Collins: A weekend in Boracay.

Mark Herras: Somewhere with private pools. I enjoy dipping in the hot springs of Los Baños, Laguna, with my family and friends. We often rent a private resort there.

Gabby Eigenmann: My family and I are planning to go to South Korea this summer. That would be perfect because it’s cold there. But if I feel like going to the beach, I’ll try Maldives.

Mike Tan: Palawan or somewhere cold like Sagada, Benguet or the Banaue Rice Terraces.

Ruru Madrid: I want to go beach-hopping in Palawan and Boracay.

JC Tiuseco: The beach, away from the city.

Barbie Forteza: I will go home to Laguna or take a trip to Palawan and Baler, Aurora.

Frencheska Farr: Surfing in La Union or Baler. I find serenity in surfing.

Sheena Halili: I want to go to a private island or resort.

Sunshine Dizon: Any quiet place, away from the crowd, where my kids can swim.
