MANILA, Philippines—Neil Perez got back to work in the police force after his proclamation as 2014 Mister International in Korea on February (The competition was initially set in November 2014. The 2015 edition will be staged later this year).
During a round-table interview at the Inquirer’s headquarters in Makati City on March 20, the bomb-defusing policeman assigned to the Aviation Security Group (ASG) said he is now busy with the Police Community Relations (PCR) arm of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to uplift the image of the force among the citizens, as well as to boost the morale of policemen by giving them inspiration.
“I just came from Bohol where I gave an inspirational talk to policewomen. I also led a Zumba class for them,” Perez, PO2 Mariano Flormata Jr. in real life, told the Inquirer in Filipino. He also added that his image is now being used in promotional materials inviting young Filipinos to join the police force.
The full interview will be published on the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Sunday.
