OPM to hold free 12-hour outdoor concert in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines — The Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), which has been mounting free music shows under the slogan “Palakasin ang OPM” this past year, will hold another one this Saturday at the Bonifacio High Street Ampitheathre in Taguig City. Titled “#PalakasinAngOPM Collab Sessions,” the 12-hour outdoor concert will gather onstage some of the country’s best seasoned and up-and-coming artists.

Pairings for the main show that starts at 8 p.m. are: Lolita Carbon and Davey Langit; Lara Maigue and Noel Cabangon; Ogie Alcasid and Quest; Christian Bautista and Basti Artadi; Ebe Dancel and Kai Honasan Sandwich; DJ Papi; as well as Dingdong Avanzado and Casper Blancaflor.

The pre-show, meanwhile, kicks off at 12 noon and features Nino Alejandro, Aicelle Santos, Mei Cruz and Cucay Pagdilao, Froilan Canlas, Q-York and Tippy dos Santos. The first 200 people to show up at the venue will be given VIP passes.

“My OPM Playlist,” an exhibition that showcases the playlists of some of the country’s most popular personalities, will also be launched. “This seeks to draw the attention of the people for a deeper appreciation of original and Filipino music, and to urge them to support its creation,” OPM said in a statement.
