A sister is a sister is a sister. For the first time, Cesar Montano’s big sister Marimer Hamilton, whom he fondly calls Ate Ched, is breaking her silence about the latest allegations of Buboy’s ex-wife, Sunshine Cruz, against him.
(On Feb. 3, Sunshine filed new charges against Cesar at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office. In the spirit of fairness, this column is open to Sunshine’s side.)
Buboy is my BFF; I can vouch for how much he adores his three daughters with Shine. There is nothing Buboy would not do for his “Tres Marias.” He may have his faults, but being an unfit father is not one of them.
Here is Ate Ched’s story:
“This latest controversy is beyond belief! It reminds me of the rape case that Sunshine filed against Buboy. After a few days, she came out on TV, praising Buboy. Now here she is with another story. It just never ends.
“A sex maniac will always be a sex maniac. This mental disorder will manifest anytime because it is an addiction. If Buboy is really suffering from this ailment, why did it manifest only lately? Common sense lang.
“I [live] in Italy, so I am basing this only on what people close to them have reported to me…From what I’ve gathered, extreme jealousy is behind this latest intrigue.
“Buboy has been seen with a former beauty queen in Seventh Day Adventist outreach missions. Frankly, if I were in Sunshine’s shoes, I’d be jealous, too. The beauty queen is not only stunning, she’s smart as well.
“My niece, whom Buboy sent to school, lived with them and never witnessed any of the incidents that Sunshine accuses him of. My daughter Isabella can also attest to this. Isabella lived in Buboy’s house until his ex started attacking her and his daughter Angela on Instagram. So my husband and I decided that Isabella should move out of Buboy’s place, to avoid complications.
“I would just like to ask Buboy’s estranged wife not to drag my late father’s name into her feud with her husband. She never met my late father, who raised seven children without stealing from other people.
“My father was an honest man. Before he became a lawyer, he was a police officer. A Chinese businessman who wanted to bring contraband in through South Harbor tried to bribe my father with P1 million. He refused and was commended for his integrity. He received a plaque of recognition and landed in the papers.
“Yes, it is true that we come from humble beginnings. As a lawyer, my father preferred to have poor folk as clients. He was a noble man and, if he were alive, I am 110-percent certain that he wouldn’t approve of Buboy’s ex-wife!”
Spanish classic
Casa Marcos (CM) has been a household name in Spanish cuisine for three generations now. I remember tagging along with my mom (Inday Badiday) to press conferences in Casa Marcos many show biz seasons ago.
In August 2008, the Bread Bag Pandesal Bar was established. The Del Rosarios, the family behind CM, wanted to build a sandwich bar, but with the trademark CM pan de sal as main attraction. When guests learned that the same family was running the place, they suggested the revival of the old CM.
So the Del Rosario clan decided to reopen Casa Marcos at Forbeswood Heights, Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, in February 2011. The Bread Bag Pandesal Bar in Ortigas Home Depot was also converted to Casa Marcos in 2012. The Bread Bag menu, however, remains available in both restos.
Visit Casa Marcos and taste all your old favorites like the saucy, tangy gambas with fried garlic cloves, coupled with the almejas (baked clams with melted cheese and garlic bits with a dash of homemade Marcos sauce). These classic dishes will surely remind guests of their most unforgettable Casa Marcos dining experiences.
