‘Ekstra’ competes in New York

Jeffrey Jeturian’s “Ekstra” is nominated for best film at the New York Festivals World’s Best TV & Films. According to fest organizers, 50 countries fielded entries in the awards set on April 14. The Vilma Santos-starrer is the only Filipino film in the fest, which also nominated various local TV programs “Front Row,” “Reel Time,” “Katipunan,” “Reporter’s Notebook,” “Kuya” and “Umagang Kay Ganda,” among others.
