I am wondering why Makati cinemas are showing the movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Our pastor reminded us, “Let’s not take everything that’s being given to us. The film doesn’t reflect our culture. It romanticizes kinky sex. Why would you tie up your partner in bed and whip her?”

On another matter, it was a treat to catch up with other former PAL flight attendants after Deanna Bergman’s “Great Gatsby”-inspired birthday bash. We also had lunch together at Saisaki.

At Aloha Hotel’s Sze Chuan resto, ex-Santiago, Isabela, mayor Amy Navarro hosted a lauriat-style dinner party for 200 guests.

At Diamond Hotel, over 30 ex-PAL flight attendant guests gathered to celebrate the birthday of Greta Lauron.

On Feb. 21-25, Christy Altura, who founded the Association of Former Flight Attendants of Philippine Airlines (Affap), will lead the group’s meeting in Boracay.

Meanwhile, my daughter Amanda received beautiful crimson roses from her doctor boyfriend. Love is truly in the air!
