‘Island Dreams’ goes to Turkey

Aloy Adlawan and Gino M. Santos’ “Island Dreams” will be made available to subscribers of TTNET, a major Internet service provider in Turkey. Kenau Pictures Production, the indie film’s producer, signed a one-year licensing agreement with the Turkish firm which has seven million subscribers and offers pay TV services in other countries like Germany, Belgium, France, United States, among others. “Island Dreams” top-bills Louise de los Reyes, Irma Adlawan and Alexis Petitprez and won the Most Gender Sensitive award at the Metro Manila Film Festival New Wave section in 2013. Jeturian, Marfil team up for Oryang biopic

Top filmmakers Jeffrey Jeturian and Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil will collaborate on the biopic of Gregoria “Oryang” de Jesus, wife of Katipunan founder Andres Bonifacio and a revolutionary heroine in her own right. “Lakambini (Woman Leader)” is based on the Palanca-winning script of Rody Vera.
