When he was young and reckless, Fading Heartthrob admits, he joined show business only to meet girls. And he wasted no time in sowing his wild oats. But he found true love, was sidelined, and raised a family.
Now that he is “single” once again, FH is raring to stage a comeback in the biz. A spy says he wants to make up for lost time and score with as many starlets as possible.
FH hasn’t changed a bit. He not only looks youthful; he still has the rampaging hormones of a teenager.
The Peter Pan complex, updated.
Not-so-gifted child
Handsome Hunk is desired by countless women—and just as many gays. But then HH has a secret that can turn off his admirers.
HH is not as “gifted” as they think, although he is known to compensate with enthusiasm and a boundless energy that can put the Energizer rabbit to shame.
No wonder Sultry Starlet can’t forget HH. Apparently, neither can Gay Insider, who had a return engagement with HH recently.
Beautiful backstabber
Turns out, Gorgeous Personality is a backstabber, relentless in badmouthing Influential Colleagues who were more than generous in promoting her in the past.
Is it because ICs are chummy with GP’s Perceived Rival? Or maybe because GP covets ICs’ status in the industry?
In any case, GP should show a little gratitude and zip it.
Backsliding
Straight from Hollywood:
Perky Starlet is recovering from a nasty addiction and eating disorder. Thus, all eyes were on her during a recent splashy event.
PS seemed sober all evening and even had a proper meal in front of nosy peers. But as the partying progressed, PS hit a major snag.
She spent an inordinate amount of time in the ladies’ room, where she was reportedly found barfing and snorting white powder.
Global ‘commissioners’
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
Friends and foes alike wonder about Seasoned Starlet and Hunky Partner’s unexplained wealth.
It’s been ages since SS and HP were gainfully employed; how can they live so lavishly?
A source claims SS and HP are involved in monkey business. But since they are too “mature” to be the merchandise, SS and HP have become the “handlers” of a stable of young talents, male and female, who peddle their wares abroad.
Call them global “commissioners.”
Training in K-Pop
GMA Artist Center teen star Julian Trono has signed a contract with JU Entertainment and Music Contents Inc., a Philippine company with a Korean counterpart, in partnership with GMA Records.
The deal makes Julian the first Pinoy to be trained in the Korean Pop (K-Pop) system. He will take intense voice and dance lessons, under Korean instructors.
Meanwhile, he is shooting a music video, where he is dancing to music that he prerecorded. He is collaborating with a Korean rapper, who is flying to Manila to join Julian in the rest of the video.
“I’m about to step into a whole new world,” Julian said. This is very exciting.
Alec Baldwin memoir
NEW YORK—Alec Baldwin is writing a memoir, and, yes, it will be candid. The award-winning actor has a deal with Harper for “Nevertheless,” scheduled for the fall of 2016.
Harper told The Associated Press on Thursday that the book will cover Baldwin’s childhood in Long Island to his acclaimed work on “30 Rock” to the various run-ins and fallings-out he experienced along the way, a story of “hits and flops, marriage, divorce,” and some “opinions on the media and politics.”
Baldwin, 56, will write the memoir himself. Financial terms for the book were not disclosed. AP
Producer Hathaway
LOS ANGELES—Anne Hathaway is taking on a new challenge as a producer.
“Song One” is an independent film also starring Hathaway. It is about the “healing power of music…and about second chances,” she said in an interview. The movie premiered at Sundance Film Festival last year and will be released in US theaters on Friday. Reuters
Trumping Topshot
LONDON—Rihanna has won a court battle against fashion retailer Topshop over a T-shirt featuring a photo of her.
Britain’s Court of Appeal on Thursday upheld an earlier ruling that Topshop can’t sell the shirt bearing the singer’s image without her approval.
The star’s lawyers said the image was from an unauthorized photo taken while Rihanna was filming a video in Northern Ireland in 2011. AP
