4 generations in unique art exhibit

/ 12:41 AM January 24, 2015

To commemorate National Arts Month this February, four generations of UP Fine Arts graduates will exhibit unusual innovations of their artworks on Feb. 2 to Feb. 27, at the UP Fine Arts Gallery at the College of Fine Arts, Bartlett Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Participating artists include National Artist BenCab, showcasing bronze sculptures in-the-round; painter Araceli Limcaco Dans, with unusual black and white paintings of trees; painter Janice Young, highlighting circular canvases of colorful dance movements, and Issay Rodriguez, exhibiting digital works on light boxes.

Opening at the art exhibit as guests of honor will be the future generation of young students—each one representing painting, sculpture, industrial design, visual communication and theory.

Exclusive beneficiary of the art exhibit is the UP College of Fine Arts, to provide students with upgraded digital laboratory. The exhibit is open to the public from Mondays to Saturdays. Contact Gilda Sychingiok at (02) 920-9910.
