14 fab quotes from 2014 Part 2

/ 12:10 AM January 20, 2015

There are just so many memorable quotes from the celebs I interviewed in 2014, and here are some more. This compilation is special because it includes a quote from my good friend Mark Gil, who passed away last year.

I particularly enjoy asking stars “un-show biz” questions, so my readers will get to know a little bit more about the person and not just the personality.

“I have no special [acting] technique. I just use my heart. That’s the best way to make the audience feel what my character is feeling.”

Coco Martin

“The controversial Bench fashion show made me realize that I should be more cautious when it comes to the projects I do because, as a celebrity, I have a big responsibility to the audience.”

“Be comfortable in your own skin. We were each created to be beautiful in our own unique way.”

“If I were to go back in time, I would change nothing. Nor would I do things differently. As every day passes, I learn more about life. What is left of it and what more is there to come? I am loved the same way that I love. I can’t ask for anything more.”

Regine Velasquez

“I still get the jitters before a show. It gives me drive. As artists, we must keep challenging ourselves and never be kampante (complacent) with our craft.”

Ogie Alcasid

“Writing a song is like any creative endeavor. It starts with inspiration. You just have to allow yourself to become a channel for it.”

Pops Fernandez

“I want to be happy on my own. I am happy as I am… with or without someone.”

Vic Sotto

“Sometimes it also feels good to be lazy. We all need some ‘me’ time and just enjoy doing nothing. That’s the best reward after working so hard.”

Claudine Barretto

“I will never let people and circumstances dictate the terms of my happiness. Happiness is something worth fighting for, no matter who you are up against.”

Amy Perez

“Separated women who want to give marriage another try must have faith and be open to learning what they need to know. They must accept that they need to change how they look at life.”

Jun Robles Lana

“The three rules of writing that I live by are: Research your story well; don’t rely on imagination. Know your characters like your own family. Respect your audience’s intellect.”

Maegan Aguilar

“I can no longer restore what my Tatay (Freddie Aguilar) and I once had. But after all is said and done, I want to say sorry to him because I’ve hurt him. I am also thankful to him. His throwing me out of our house has made me stronger. When his wife is no longer in the picture, my daughters and I will be the permanent women in his life.”

Niño Muhlach

“At the peak of my career as a child star, my dad told me that, one day, all the fame and fortune would disappear. When that time comes, I had better be prepared. What goes up must come down.”

Carla Abellana

“I find it hard to understand why men tend to be all ego and pride and no heart.”

Electric youth

Daniel Padilla strengthens his Teen King status as he tackles the role of Angelo in the 2015 remake of the soap hit “Pangako Sa ’Yo.”

He has come a long way from his struggling days when he and his siblings would study in the dark because their mom, Karla Estrada, could not pay the electricity bill.

Single moms like Karla need not fret anymore. They can now avail of Meralco’s prepaid electric service, Kuryente Load. It comes in peso denominations of 100, 200, 300, 500 and 1,000.
