‘The Affair’ wins Globe for best TV drama series

BEVERLY HILLS, California — “The Affair” has won the Golden Globe for best TV drama series.

The Showtime drama looks at the ripple effects of an extramarital affair between a married novelist and a waitress. It stars Dominic West and Ruth Wilson.

The other nominees Sunday were: “Downton Abbey,” ”Game of Thrones” ”The Good Wife,” and “House of Cards.”

The 72nd annual Golden Globes are airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
