Ruffa Gutierrez, family alarmed by ‘stalker’

MANILA, Philippines—A man claiming to be actor Eddie Gutierrez’s estranged son was held by village officials after causing alarm to the upscale White Plains community and the home of the Gutierrez family.

In a series of Tweets, actress Ruffa Gutierrez on Saturday said that a “stalker” of her family has managed to enter the gated community of White Plains and then threw three bags over the 12-foot gate of their home.

She said that village guards have been refusing entrance to the stalker for three days but the man managed to enter the community Friday evening.

“Village guards have been refusing the stalker entry for three days now but last night, ‘nakapuslit yung mama! (Using my mom’s words),” Ruffa said on her social media account. “When the stalker finally found our home, he threw three big, black bags over our 12-foot gate! It had his personal belongings including his ID (identification card).”

Ruffa added that the stalker claimed that he was the 21-year-old son of her father Eddie.

“Thank you to the barangay and security of White Plains, Quezon City for acting immediately and resolving this situation. Safety first!” Gutierrez said.

“We should always take precaution wherever we go but also make sure that our homes are protected. Be safe everyone and always pray!” BL
