MANILA, Philippines—He could have had what other men could only dream of.

American TV host Jimmy Fallon has realized he could have dated actress Nicole Kidman back when they first met “years ago.”

Guesting on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” on Tuesday, Kidman told the host that she liked him back then but he didn’t seem to be interested.

Telling his version of how they met, Fallon said a common friend brought Kidman to his apartment in New York City and he didn’t know what to do.

“I remember I liked you,” Kidman said, but “then you put on a video game or something.”

“It was bad!” Kidman told Fallon. “You didn’t talk at all!” Thinking Fallon “had no interest” in her, Kidman said, “This is so embarrassing.”

“I had no clue at all!” Fallon said, surprised, covering his face with his hands.

Fallon and Kidman continued their banter with moments of awkwardness and laughter throughout the interview.

“Oh my gosh, I’m in shock right now,” said Fallon. “I can’t believe I dated Nicole Kidman. This is fanstastic!”

“We didn’t!” said Kidman, laughing. “Now we’re both married with kids!”

Kidman is married to country singer Keith Urban, who had been a “Tonight” guest several times. “We love Keith,” Fallon said.

Considered one of the most beautiful and successful actresses in the world, Kidman has starred in numerous award-winning films such as “Days of Thunder,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Eyes Wide Shut” and “Dogville.” Her performance as Virginia Woolf in “The Hours” has earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress.

Fallon was an alumnus of long-running US comedy TV show “Saturday Night Live.” He hosted “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” before taking over the reins of “The Tonight Show” franchise, following a line of influential US talk show hosts such as Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien.
