Guests pick meaningful moments in Marian-Dingdong wedding
For actress Ina Feleo, the highlight of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera’s wedding was when the bride’s estranged parents marched to the altar side by side for their daughter. “It was a touching moment because I saw that Marian was really happy to see them together,” Feleo told the Inquirer.
Ina’s sister Ana agreed. She said “the march was so meaningful because I knew how important it was for Yan (Rivera’s nickname), her family and Dingdong.”
Stress-free
Ana is one of Rivera’s three maids of honor. She said it was neither stressful nor tiring. “This was because we had ‘superwoman’ and wedding wizard Teena Barretto as coordinator. Everything was a breeze,” she recalled. “The night before the wedding was memorable. We got to sleep…probably for only an hour.”
For singer-comedienne Tuesday Vargas, the showing of the wedding video, made by film and television director Joyce Bernal, was the most moving. “It was shown during the reception program. It told Dingdong and Marian’s love story. It was very touching and warm,” Vargas recounted.
Ina concurred: “It showed how much they love each other.”

Bianca Gonzalez, one of Marian’s 18 bridesmaids, said she hoped for the couple to “enjoy the high of marital bliss; and cheers to…future gorgeous babies.”
Principal sponsor Kris Aquino posted on her Instagram account a photo of the newlyweds with brother President Benigno Aquino III, who served as witness of honor. The caption: “Our family will forever be grateful for the support Dingdong and Marian gave us during the 2009-2010 Presidential campaign…Friends for life.”
John Lapus said the wedding ceremony was most memorable because there were so many guests from both politics and show business, as well as the two actors’ respective supporters, “and yet the solemnity of the ceremony was maintained. I also liked that all the women wore red, and the men, black. They were all so beautiful to look at.”
