Senator Bong’s big shebang
He likes to party in style.
The worlds of show biz and politics crossed paths once again when Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla celebrated his nth birthday at the Diamond Hotel last week.
His family, led by wife, Representative Lani Mercado, was on hand to greet the guests.
The action star-turned-lawmaker said he was honored to see former President Joseph Estrada and Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile at the event.
Also present were Senator Revilla’s colleagues from the Upper House: Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Franklin Drilon, Tito Sotto, among others.
“I was happy to see my peers from the Lower House, too,” said Representative Lani. “We showed a trailer of Senator Bong’s latest movie ‘Ang Panday 2,’ which is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival.”
The show-biz contingent was led by producer Lily Monteverde, singer Marissa Sanchez, actors Phillip Salvador, Rez Cortez and Monsour del Rosario, among other luminaries.—Bayani San Diego Jr.
