Although I am not a Catholic, I admire Pope Francis’ opinions on several issues. He is not as close-minded and conservative as others. He is in touch with the sentiments of many people. I have a lot of respect for the man and what he stands for. It’s a special time for us…It has been years since the last papal visit. It’s a good opportunity for Filipinos to feel united, regardless of religion. After all the trials our country has gone through, we need the inspiration we can get from his visit. We are all praying for strength and hope—especially with the coming 2016 elections that can be divisive. Bayani San Diego Jr.

I will give Pope Francis something that has sentimental value to me. I am not yet sure what exactly that is, because there are a lot of things that are important to me. I would definitely give him something significant to remind him of the Philippines. The Pope is a special person. Through him, we are reminded of God’s grace and love.
