Insiders were appalled by the behavior of Perky Starlet and Rowdy Artist.
Although most everyone in their circle knows that they are not remotely interested in each other, PS and RA act as if they are sweethearts.
It seems they are cooking up not just projects together, but also all sorts of gimmicks to drumbeat their careers.
PS and RA are the very definition of user-friendly.
Standee
A group of fans chanced upon Bubbly Star during a holiday event.
They asked for a souvenir snapshot with BS, who obliged, perfunctorily.
When the admirers checked the photos, they were dismayed.
BS had a blank expression in all the shots; obviously, she’d rather be somewhere else.
“It was like posing with a standee,” one of the groupies remarked.
Would it kill BS to show a little warmth? Perhaps cosmetic enhancements have made her face unmoving?
Luxe life
Seasoned Insider is back to an old money-making scheme.
Enterprising SI sells all sorts of luxury items on the side.
Problem is, she has lost her captive market, since most of the celebs in her current company are not as wealthy as those in the previous stomping ground.
Quick-thinking SI found a new client base: the firm’s high-flying employees who live the luxe life, though most Filipinos are in dire financial straits. Boo.
Wheeler dealer
Flamboyant Insider teamed up with Troubled Businessman for a doomed enterprise.
TB was reluctant, but FI’s convincing powers are legendary.
Still, the Beleaguered Artist they wanted to hire had second thoughts.
The project went pfft.
FI quickly bounced back and landed another huge deal. Interestingly, FI dumped TB. Was it because FI knew the second venture would be more successful?
Waiting game
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera.
At a splashy event, Industry Veteran asked to chat with Publicity Hound. Alone.
PH promised to grant the request. IV waited… and waited. PH simply vanished without a trace.
Curiously, a bigger and more talented personality, Major Star, didn’t make IV suffer so much. MS fulfilled IV’s wish sans fuss and fanfare.
Top of Bandera
This week’s top show biz news in the Inquirer tabloid Bandera (and why we are moved, if we are moved):
Ryzza Mae Dizon pinahirapan nang todo sa “My Big Bossing.” (Kaya niya ’yan.)
(Good for you.)
(How low can we go—to promote a movie?)
(Uh-oh.)
(Not his call, is it?)
Ai-Ai de las Alas iniintriga sa kinita ng huling pelikula nina Kim Chiu at Xian Lim. (Excuses, excuses.)
(She can sing; why resort to this?)
(This used to be charming.)
(We are so stumped.)
