MMFF 2014: A quick guide to the 8 competing entries
MANILA, Philippines— Eight official entries will compete in the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
What are these films that moviegoers should look forward to watching this holiday season? Here’s the list:
- Bonifacio, Ang Unang Pangulo— A reunion film for the ex-onscreen couple Robin Padilla and Vina Morales, Padilla plays the titular character Andres Bonifacio while Morales portrays the revolutionary hero’s second wife Gregoria de Jesus. The historical drama-action film was directed by Enzo Williams.
- English Only Please—A romantic comedy film starring Jennylyn Mercado and Derek Ramsey. Directed by Dan Villegas.
