Amanda Noelle is my third daughter, a graduate of the Dela Salle University-College of St. Benilde. She loves reading and has always been disciplined. Her best friend is her sister, Kate.
In 2011, I asked her to assist me in our Batanes Photo Safari, whose 31 participants included the pediatrician who would become her boyfriend. Weeks later, Manda began receiving bouquets of flowers from the charming doctor.
When Amanda finished college, she pursued her dream of joining the Bb. Pilipinas pageant, where she trained for two months, and was adjudged one of 15 finalists. Thereafter, she became a flight attendant for a local airline.
Cebu has become her home base—the jumping point for her trips to Japan, Korea, Sydney, Melbourne, Japan, London and Vancouver. She brings home chocolates, cherries, strawberries—and magnets from the countries she visits.
Amanda’s picture here was taken during Melbourne’s Tulip Festival, taken by my former secretary, who’s based there. Instead of investing in jewelry, she advises young people to travel, because you discover diverse cultures and meet different people—and the pictures you take tell a thousand stories!
Last Sunday, she took me to the phenomenal stage musical, “Chicago,” at Solaire—what a treat!
