Rakrakan tickets still available

Updated FINAL

MANILA, Philippines – In less than a week, the vast landscape of Globe Circuit Events Ground, Circuit Makati will be transformed into a jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring mecca for thousands of OPM fans celebrating the final days of 2014 at perhaps the biggest, the loudest, and most anticipated all-Filipino music festival of the year: “Rakrakan Festival.”

It’s about time again to rock ‘til you drop!

Witness 70 bands from all throughout the country perform simultaneously on 3 big stages from afternoon until dawn: get groovy with some reggae and ska vibes from Tropical Depression, Jeck Pilpil & Peacepipe, Brownman Revival, Reggae Mistress, Powerspoonz, Smooth Friction and other feel-good artists at the Groove Stage; jump to the beats of pop and alternative music with Rocksteddy, The Oktaves, Gracenote, Drive Me To Juliet, Imago, Mayonnaise, and other crowd favorites at the Move Stage; and reign triumphant in the mosh pit as Slapshock, Razorback, Wilabaliw, Urbandub, Skychurch, Lostthreads, and many other hard hitters bring the “Rak” in “Rakrakan” at the Mosh Stage – definitely, a ne plus ultra of its kind in the annals of Philippine history!

In addition, Rakrakan Festival goers will still be able to participate in this year’s skateboarding activities (this time, with special prizes to be won for best tricks and most energetic athletes), enjoy scrumptious tastes at the food bazaar, shop for Christmas gifts from more than 50 indie merchandising brands at this year’s bigger Merch Bazaar, and a number of side activities guaranteed to amplify everyone’s festival experience. Rakista Radio and Rakrakan Festival souvenir items will also available at the concert grounds at very affordable rates.

Tickets are still available at the nearest SM Tickets outlet, or call 470-2222 for more info.

Rakrakan Festival: Rock ‘Til You Drop” started in 2013 with the ambition to see the best of what OPM can do. It was pictured to be the largest congregation of homegrown artists and their supporters of its time, a utopia for every rock-hearted and hardheaded Rakista fan where the prime rule was to rock ‘til you drop; it turned out to be a successful celebration of everything that espouses the culture of OPM, its talents and its future. Inspired by this feat, Rakista Radio now aims to help bring our skills and crafts to a broader, more international range of audience, one festival at a time. advt
