Wishlist: Louie Ignacio, TV-movie director

I have already seen Pope Francis in person, in Vatican City, when I covered the conclave last year. I first saw him when he was still a candidate, with the other cardinals at St. Peter’s Basilica. I was also lucky enough to attend his first Mass as a Pope. During his first public appearance, he looked so simple. When he was finally in front of me, I cried! I’ve already received the most precious gift of meeting him. In return, I want to give him a pair of maya birds in a bamboo birdcage. I heard that he is fond of animals, like St. Francis of Assisi. Whenever he hears the maya birds chirp in the morning, I hope he will remember the Philippines. Bayani San Diego Jr.
