Sonia Vidal, housewife: “The continuing commercial and critical success of ‘Rak of Aegis’ is proof that there’s a market for original Pilipino musicals that the audience can relate to. How about a stage version of the screen musical, ‘I Do Bidoo Bidoo,’ which featured the songs of the Apo Hiking Society? I’m sure it’ll also be a hit!”

Temmy Macaspac, banker: “I like Isabelle Daza’s striking Pinay beauty and quiet elegance. I wish she would be given more exposure and challenging roles, so that she can prove that there’s more to her than a beautiful face and body!”

FEATURED STORIES

Nicolas Duremdes, businessman: “I’d like to see my favorite actress, Tetchie Agbayani, topbill a dramatic movie with Nora Aunor—they’re both actresses who have very expressive eyes! It would be a thrill to see them collaborate on a powerful story.”

Jay Morales, student: “I never fail to watch ‘Forevermore,’ because it isn’t as mushy as most teleseryes—thanks to the comic relief provided by Joey Marquez, who can be funny without trying. With her refreshing presence, lead star Liza Soberano is perfect for her role—she has a lovely face that the camera loves!”

Letty Dolar, televiewer: “Watching a recent telecast of ‘The Voice Philippines’ made me sad, especially for some blind auditionees who didn’t make the cut. It was an awkward surprise to watch the audition of Faith Cuneta, especially when the judges realized that they had chosen to ignore a colleague in the recording industry! I take my hat off to Faith for trying her luck and taking the risk.”

Janet Pinero, teacher: “‘Eat Bulaga’s’ decision to feature appropriately dressed, plus-size dancers in lieu of shapely but scantily clad girls is commendable. I hope they treat them the way ladies should be treated—with respect!”
