MANILA, Philippines — Carat Philippines announced on Tuesday that early next year, it will be mounting the biggest Original Pilipino Music (OPM) festival yet to be held in the country.

The event, dubbed “Fusion: The 1st Philippine Music Festival,” will happen on January 30, 2015 at the Mall Of Asia concert grounds.

Asked what sets this music festival apart from the rest of the music-themed festivities available in the country, Carat Philippines Chief Executive Officer Gladys Basinillo and her team shared that Fusion will gather artists from different genres in one stage for the first time.

Renowned OPM singer and songwriter Joey Ayala, who will be part of the Fusion preproduction phase and actual show, added that the event also aims to keep the life of live performances running. Ayala said that in this age where people access songs through digital platforms, the value of live performances becomes greater as the “live” experience of the songs is what will make performances unique and special.

Among the artists confirmed for Fusion 2015 are Bamboo, Sarah Geronimo, Rico Blanco, Ebe Dancel, Barbie Almalbis, Wolfgang, 6cyclemind, and Andrew E.

Tickets to the event priced Php1,000 for VIP and Php300 for General Admission will be available at Ticketnet, Ticket World, and SM Tickets.
