Many controversies ago, sisters Ara Mina and Cristine Reyes were at odds. Their feud escalated into a full-blown war on national television. But now, the sibling rivalry has turned into sibling revelry. They are both expecting moms!

Ara and Cristine are done washing dirty linen in public, and are now engaging in “diaper talk.” The sex sirens are on the verge of

becoming hot mamas.

My tête-à-tête with Ara:

What was your initial reaction when Cristine told you she was

also pregnant?

I thought she was joking at first because she said it casually. I assured her it was great that three of us sisters were pregnant at the same time. A triple blessing! (Their sister Heidi gave birth on Oct. 27.)

How did pregnancy bring you closer?

We remind one another to take care of ourselves and our babies. When I come across good tips for pregnant women, I share it with my sister right away.

What pregnancy tips, for example, have you shared with Cristine?

To avoid stress because it could lead to miscarriage, which I experienced. It also has harmful effects on the baby. I gave her a list of the food she should eat in the first trimester.

Can you tell us about Cristine’s boyfriend?

Ali Joshua Khatibi is Persian, but he lives in Manila. I can see how much he loves and supports my sister. It’s good that he’s not from show biz. That helps make their relationship intrigue-free and peaceful.

What are Cristine’s food cravings and when is she due?

At first, she craved turon. She’s due next summer. (Ara is due next month.)

Do Cristine and Ali, Patrick (Meneses) and you plan to marry soon?

Patrick and I would like to prioritize our baby, but marriage is in our agenda.

I think Cristine and her boyfriend have attended a marriage seminar but don’t have concrete plans yet.

Cristine and I just have to decide who will get married first. If a double wedding is possible, why not?

Double dribble

The sons of two-time PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) Most Valuable Player Benjie Paras, Kobe and Andre, are carving their own niche in the worlds of basketball and show biz.

Kobe is making waves in various basketball competitions abroad; Andre is Tinseltown’s hottest teen heartthrob.

Benjie is behind them every dribble and outtake of the way. The proud dad shares his thoughts with us:

In what way is Kobe similar to, and different from, you?

We are both passionate about basketball, though I must say that he plays better than I do.

What tips did you give him about basketball?

Practice hard. Basketball is a game. You win some; you lose some. If you lose, take it as a lesson. Learn from it and correct your mistakes. If you win, stay humble and improve some more.

What advice did you give him about girls?

Fall in love and be ready to get hurt, but never give up on love.

How do you discipline, and spoil, Kobe?

I remind him that if he wants something, he has to earn it. To spoil him, I let him eat as much as he can.

What are Kobe’s plans?

He just wants to focus on his junior year in high school for now. He will make decisions next year after graduation.

Do Kobe and Andre have sibling rivalry?

None at all. They support each other.

How are Kobe and Andre different from each other?

Kobe is a tough kid. He will not allow himself to be bullied. He will fight back. Andre is more patient. He will just walk away and go on with his life.

Face of a hunk

Victor Basa, the actor who portrayed David in “My Husband’s Lover,” is the newest endorser of Flawless.

The company launched a campaign for its newest product, Super Serums, which features Victor and his girlfriend Divine Lee as models.

Victor joins Lorna Tolentino, Jodi Sta. Maria, Elmo Magalona, Mark Herras, Jasmine-Curtis-Smith and other celebs as faces to launch a thousand shrieks, the Flawless way.

Bossing’s new cause

Vic Sotto’s track record in the biz speaks for itself. Bossing is the new endorser of CitiGlobal. He is not just pitching a real estate company; he is championing its mission to help deserving individuals, particularly OFWs, improve their status in life.

“Many OFWs [carry on like] overnight millionaires. They should learn to invest,” Vic points out. “This is my personal advocacy and I’m happy that CitiGlobal has a way of helping OFWs invest through affordable leisure properties. After working hard, we must find time to unwind.”

In spite of Vic’s hectic schedule, he makes sure to have some “me time.” Just like him, you can be your own Bossing with a “happy place” that’s all yours.
