MANILA, Philippines — The Krimmy Couple — Entrepreneur and blogger Kring Elenzano and her Korean boyfriend Yong Jin Kim, also known as Jimmy — bagged not only the “Grand Couple” title in the finale of the reality talent search “I Do” on Saturday night but also a dream wedding and a cash prize of P1 million.

Jimmy, 30, and Kring, 28, who have been together for three years, will tie the knot on Nov. 12. The ceremony will be aired on ABS-CBN on Nov. 15. They also bagged a honeymoon package, a business package worth P1.5 million, a house and lot and a home appliance package.

Couple Chad Fontanilla, 25, and Sheela Beterbo, 25, placed second and brought home a P500,000 cash prize.

“You’ve proven that language and culture are not obstacles in expressing your love for each other,” said program host Judy Ann Santos to the winning couple during the grand finale at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City.

Jimmy, who have been estranged from his biological mom for years, said he would make sure that communication lines between him and Kring are constantly open.

“We will try to share to each other how we feel. We will try to learn from each other, and be open to change,” he said.

Kring shared that she has prayed for someone like Jimmy to come into her life.

“Thank you for being the answer to my prayer. I will never love someone as much as I love you,” she told her fiancee minutes before their names were announced as winners.

“The show is an introduction for couples who want to get married,” Judy Ann told the Inquirer. “I hope that the couples will apply the things they’ve learned inside the ‘I Do’ Village to their relationships now that they are back in the real world. The pieces of advice they got and their experience there are priceless.”

Judy Ann shared hosting chores with comedian Jayson Gainza. Nine couples, who were secluded in a special village constructed in Cavite, underwent love sessions and counseling conducted by life coach Pia Acevedo and psychologist-marriage counselor Julian Montano.
